Description

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 - STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS - AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-05, NAICS 423430; This is a small business set-aside. This is a brand name procurement for BlueArc Corporation products for a capacity upgrade to the existing production environment. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has this requirement for BlueArc equipment, software and licenses, and services to provide adequate application support and ensure application and data integrity. All interested offerors must be authorized resellers of BlueArc Corporation, and shall provide a quote for the following line items: A Titan Cluster Upgrade consisting of: Line Item 0001: Quantity two (2) each EVS Licenses PART NUMBER: 530082; Line Item 0002: Quantity two (2) each Synchronous Volume Mirroring Software Licenses PART NUMBER: 530123; Line Item 0003: 12 months Software Support Contract ? Warranty PART NUMBER: 530022; Line Item 0004: Installation, Customer Site (to include: site preparation, installation of software (Line Item 0001), Implementation of Clustering Software (Line Item 0001), Implementation of Volume Mirroring Software (Line Item 0002), and Testing of the above items) Titan Storage Upgrade consisting of: Line Item 0005: Quantity one (1) 14X14GB FC Disks PART NUMBER: 220230 Line Item 0006: Quantity one (1) FC Enclosure ? expansion kit and all associated cabling PART NUMBER: 345073 Line Item 0007: 12 months Hardware Support Contract Premium (4 hr on-site) PART NUMBER: 530020 Line Item 0008: Installation PART NUMBER: 605012 (to include: 14X146GB FC Disks (Line Item 0005), FC Enclosure (Line Item 0006) into existing rack) Line Item 0009: Shipping Charges, if applicable Award shall be made to the offeror who is an authorized reseller whose quote provides all part numbers specified and offers the lowest price.
