- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-05-T-0191 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation. Only one responsible source and no other supplier or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this requirement. This announcement constitutes the request for the required material under RFQ N68836-04-T-191. SCOPE: THIS CONTRACT IS FOR THE RENTAL, REPAIR, AND PM OF 8 STACKABLE DRYER UNITS(MAKE TOTAL OF 16),; 52 REGULAR ELECTRIC DRYERS; 60 AUTOMATIC EELECTRIC WASHERS; AND 7 AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC WASHERS; FOR THE COMBINED BACHELOR?S HOUSING, NAS JRB FORT WORTH, TX. (DURING THE COURSE OF THE CONTRACT, REMODELING MAYBE DONE ON THE COMBINED BACHELOR?S HOUSING WILL REQUIRE THE CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE WASHER/DRYERS FROM QUARTERS WHILE WORK IS BEING PERFORMED. DURING THIS TIME THE CHARGES FOR RENTAL OF THIS UNIT WILL BE SUSPENDED. COMPLETION OF REMODELING THE CONTRACTOR WILL REINSTALL THE WASHER/DRYERS AS THEY WERE BEFORE AND RENTAL COST WILL RESUME.) 2. PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: CHECKS SHALL BE CONDUCTED ON ALL INSTALLED MACHINES EVERY 80 TO 100 DAYS FOR THE FIRST YEAR AFTER INSTALLATION. THEREAFTER, MAINTENANCE CHECKS SHALL BE CONDUCTED EVERY 30 TO 40 DAYS ON EACH MACHINE. THE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND REPAIR TO INCLUDE PARTS/LABOR, AND INSPECTION OF THE EXTERIOR OF THE MACHINE, ALL FILTERS, WIRING, BELTS, GEARS, LUBRICANTS, KNOBES, TUBS, DOORS, LATCHES, DISPENSERS, INDICATORS, AND AGITATORS. WORN OR DAMAGED PARTS SHALL BE REPLACED WITHIN 24 HOURS AFTER THE INSPECTION IS CONDUCTED. A STATUS REPORT ON EACH UNIT TO INCLUDE ANY DISCREPANCIES NOTED AND CORRECTIVE MEASURES TAKEN WILL BE INITIATED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND A COPY OF THE REPORT TURNED OVER TO THE COMBINED BACHELOR HOUSING?S STAFF. 3. REMEDIAL MAINTENANCE: SHALL BE REQUIRED ON AN AS NEED BASIS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RESPOND TO A REMEDIAL MAINTENANCE CALL WITHIN 24 HOURS. IF THE UNIT CANNOT BE REPAIRED ON SITE WITH IN 24 HOURS, THE UNIT MUST BE REPLACED WITH A COMPARABLE UNIT. IF A UNIT IS NOT USABLE DUE TO ANY CONDITION OF DISREPAIR MORE THAN TWO TIMES DURING A SERVICE YEAR (01 OCT - 30 SEP) THAT UNIT SHALL BE PERMANENTLY REPLACED WITH A NEW COMPARABLE UNIT. 4. REDUCTION CRITERIA: FAILURE TO RESPOND TO A REMEDIAL MAINTENANCE CALL OR FAILURE TO REPLACE A UNUSABLE UNIT AS REQUIRED BY PARAGRAPH3, SHALL RESULT IN REDUCTION CRITERIA. 5. REDUCTION SCHEDULE: SHOULD THE CRITERIA IN PARAGRAPH 4 OCCUR, THE CONTRACTOR?S MONTHLY INVOICE WILL BE REDUCED BY $10.00 PER UNIT FOR EVERY DAY THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT HAVE A WORKING UNIT. 6. RINSE WATER TEMPERATURE SETTING MINIMUM; 14 LB MINIMUM CAPACITY, 120 VAC, 60 HERTZ, AND WHITE ENAMEL FINISH. DRYERS SHALL HAVE 3 ? TEMPERATURE SELECTIONS MINIMUM, AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF, 120//240 VAC, 60 HERTZ, AND WHITE ENAMEL FINISH. OVERALL DIMENSIONS OF UNITS: 76? MAX. HEIGHT, 24? TO 27? WIDTH, AND 33? MAX. DEPTH. 7.
