Description

The U.S. Department of State intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Affinia Fifty Hotel for the purchase of various single guestroom and studio suites for two weeks in the month of September, for a total of 94 room nights. The hotel must be within two blocks of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Conducted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent product as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to this notice by 8 September 2005, 13:00 EST to Suzanne T. Sharp, Contract Specialist, Department of State, Office of Logistics Management, Acquisition Management, P.O.Box 9115 Rosslyn Station, Arlington, VA, 22219. Fax 703-875-5272. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. However, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. The U.S. Department of State will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
