- Description
- The US Army Aviation and Missile Command issues this announcement in order to identify potential sources for the overhaul, repair and/or recapitalization of various aviation items in the US Army inventory in support of the Armys National Maintenance Program in Korea. These items will require overhaul or repair and/or recapitalization of various components parts. This will require compliance with a specific Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) which prescribes the scope of work to be performed, types and kinds of material to be used, and quality of workmanship required. The DMWR also addresses repair methods; procedures and techniques, modification requirements; performance parameters and quality assurance discipline. For purposes of this requ irement, the contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment and material. Contractor furnished parts shall be either manufacturers original equipment or from an approved, qualified and/or engineering tested vendor. No surplus parts shall be used or applied. Surplus is defined as spare parts that have been previously bought by the government and sold as surplus on the market. The following items are potential candidates for this effort and are listed as follows citing their applicable DMWR as the technical guiding document for this effort. NSN 6610-00-085-2739, DMWR 55-6610-344, Noun: Indicator, Attitude; NSN 6610-01-055-0468, DMWR 55-6610-348, Noun: Altimeter, Encoder; NSN 1610-01-231-1831, DMWR 1-1620-247, Noun: Landing Gear, Fixed. Should your company be interested in competing for any of these overhaul and or repair efforts in support of these Army programs, please provide the following information to the US Army Aviation and Missile Command point of contact as listed below: 1) Please identify the item(s) as listed above for which you wish to compete. 2) Please provide your company name, address, telephone and fax number with a designated point of contact for both contracting and technical issues. 3) Please provide a brochure or synopsis which includes a description of your companies capabilities, facilities, experience and equipment list as it would apply to the overhaul/repair of the items listed above. 4) Please provide a description of the quality program that will be used for the overhaul/repair of the parts. 5) Please provide any historical contract or subcontract efforts that your company may have performed for any Department of Defense effort in the past, particularly efforts which reflect overhaul/repair or recapitalization of the same or an equipment item as reflected above.
