Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ 4810060601 for trash removal services at Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA. This is a service contract and service contract wage rates apply. This contract is for a base year, with two option years. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through FAR 2005-04(b) This is a total small business set-aside. This is a small business competitive demonstration program. The NAICS code is 562111, the size standard is $10.5 million, and the product service code is S205. Offerors Reps and Certs must accompany proposals. All offers, proposals or bids are due to the Contracting Officer by close of business September 22, 2005. Unit pricing for FY'06, FY'07 and FY'08 shall be provided (a fiscal year term is October 1 through September 30). Further or additional information is available by contacting 570-340-5190. Scope of Work: Contractor to provide containers, pick-up and disposal for the following: 1. 40-yard container to dispose of trash from offices, lunchrooms, and maintenance shop areas. Approx. 10 pick-ups per year. 2. 25-yard container to dispose of locomotive ash (non-hazardous). Approx. 10 pick-ups per year. 3. Additional short-term containers on an as-needed basis. Pick-up and replacements will be on an "on call" basis. Pickup and replacement tickets must be signed by an NPS employee. Contractor to invoice on a monthly basis when appropriate. Certified weight tickets are required with invoices. Contract will be awarded based on best value, inclusive of option years. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Reps and Certs - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition.
