Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, St. Inigoes, MD intends to award a sole source contract for Error Correcting Code (ECC) Double Data Random Access Memory (DDRAM) and TAG RE300-BE Upgrade. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with Technology Advancement Group, Inc. (TAG), 22355 TAG WAY, Dulles, VA, 20166-6931. The North American Industry Classification system (NAICS) Code is 334111 with a small business size standard of 1,000 people. The required delivery date is 60 days after award of contract. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements. This equipment will replace previously fielded servers implemented under the Joint Base Station (JBS) Variant (V2)B project, and upgrade the currently fielded (V2)D TAG 1000I-P4 sole source requirement for the procurement of calibration, corrective and preventive maintenance of the Automated Indoor Compact Antenna Test Range pertaining to the anechoic chamber, positioning system, interconnecting cabling and the Scientific Atlanta (SA) Model 2083E Antenna Analyzer System. TAG is the sole manufacturer and distributor of the ECC DDRAM and TAG RE300-BE upgrade. Documentation and physical design have been previously established for the JBS (V2)B and (V2)D Projects, and a change to any system would result in significant, unbudgeted and unrecoverable costs to the Government from Nonrecurring Engineering (NRE) services to modify the JBS design. Only TAG can provide the ECC DDRAM and TAG RE300-BE upgrades to support the continuous-uninterrupted communication requirements of the JBS program. For this reason, Technology Advancement Group is the only source that can provide the required equipment. The reference number for this notice is N00421-05-P-0824.
