The Government requires the procurement of services for the implementation of new rapid prototyping processes and equipment at NUWC Keyport. Services to be performed include identification and evaluation of Navy and DoD castings to determine suitability for RCT processing, provide casting mold, pattern and core designs, develop molds of candidate applications for evaluation, utilize molds developed with the RCT process and analyze results, generate a detailed and comprehensiv! e facility plan for RCT equipment installation at NUWC Keyport, and perform program and project management duties to support RCT project meetings, presentations and travel. The proposed contract action is for services and the Government anticipates soliciting and negotiating with only one source under the authority of FAR Subpart 6.302-1; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received prior to the anticipated closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses is solely within the discretion of the Government.
