Description
This project will consist of grading, drainage, reconditioning/pulverizing, hot asphalt concrete pavement and guardrail on 10.115 miles of roadway for Utah PRA DINO 10(2) and 100(1), Cub Creek Road, in Dinosaur National Monument, Uintah County, State of Utah. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project contains one schedule and one option. Principal work items include: 10 miles of centerline verification and staking; lump sum contractor testing; lump sum watering for dust control; 3,140 cu yds roadway excavation; 1,115 cu yd select borrow; 1,070 cu yd placed riprap, various class; 155,140 sq yd road reconditioning, pulverize 6-inch depth; 2,680 tons roadway aggregate, method 2; 1,725 tons asphalt cement grade PG 64-34; 275 tons antistrip additive, type 3; 26,535 tons superpave asphalt concrete pavement, ½-inch nominal maximum size aggregate, 0.3 to 1 million esals, type 2 pavement smoothness; 725 tons minor hot asphalt concrete; 1,235 tons blotter; 80 cu yds concrete; 1,196 ln ft pipe culvert, various sizes; 62 end sections for pipe culvert, various sizes; 70 ln ft liner for 96-inch pipe culvert; 8,030 ln ft asphalt concrete curb, 6-inch depth; 180 sq yd Portland cement concrete median; 850 gallons pavement markings, type B; along with associated erosion control devices, removal of signs, pipe culverts, curb, guardrail, etc, and traffic control. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
