Description
The United States Government Printing Office (GPO) is seeking a single contractor that can provide and administer a full printing solution to Federal customers of the GPO through a nationwide network of local convenience printing outlets. Through the operation of multiple nationwide printing outlets, the contractor shall provide Federal agencies with a wide range of services including digital printing, print-on-demand, duplicating, binding and finishing, distribution, order fulfillment, basic design services, online ordering, digital content management, management reporting and implementation of an exclusive purchase card for all transactions. The mission of the GPO is to inform the nation by producing, procuring, and disseminating printed and electronic publications to the public and business communities for the Federal Government. The GPO is focused on providing its Federal customers with multiple alternative methods to satisfy their printing and binding needs and ensuring that all Federal government publications are reported and cataloged. The GPO is seeking a contractor to provide a network of convenience printing outlets nationwide, in an effort to effectively and efficiently reach out and serve Federal agencies across the United States. OBJECTIVES: 1. To provide Federal agencies with a cost-effective purchasing vehicle to fulfill their short-run printing and binding needs. 2. To provide Federal agencies online access to their digital documents. 3. To provide Federal agencies the option of walk-up and online service. 4. To provide Federal agencies access to a network of local printing outlets throughout the United States. 5. To ensure public access to non-classified Federal publications. 6. To streamline the purchasing process by establishing a purchase card to be used exclusively for this program. 7. To provide a training program to educate Federal agencies how to utilize and benefit from this program. 8. To work together with the contractor to implement a large-scale marketing strategy to promote the program to agencies throughout the Federal government.
