Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is currently planning for Presidential and Congressional decisions on Base Realignment and Closure and is currently seeking information in determining the availability of qualified business sources capable of providing BRAC experienced/skilled personnel. Specific types of experience and skills sought are as follows: 1. Base Realignment and Closure Experience in which personnel would have demonstrated experience in planning, preparing and executing Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) recommendations for a Military Service. Desired experience includes: briefing senior DoD Officials and Congressional Staffs on BRAC proposals, recommendations and implementation actions; formulating Service BRAC positions and proposing alternatives that meet Department infrastructure requirements. 2. Depot Level Reparable Acquisition Experience in which personnel demonstrate proven experience buying reparable items for a large Service Depot Repair Facility. Experience desired includes: Requirements computation, acquisition for delivery to meet required repair cycles for major end items. Potential candidates must have experience procuring depot level reparables for at least one Military Service. 3. Depot Repair Facilities Experience in which personnel demonstrate a proven background in a Service Depot Maintenance Facility. Desired experience includes: requisitioning, receiving, storing, issuing, kitting, material handling, transportation and supply management. Potential candidates must also have experience handling a large volume of Service owned and managed material within an Army Depot, Naval Station, Marine Corp Depot, or Air Logistics Command. Interested parties who believe they can meet or exceed the requirements described in this notice are requested to submit a letter of interest stating that the requirements can be fulfilled. Responses must include the following: Name and address of firm; size of business; Cage Code; and whether they are a large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), HUB-zone, service disabled veteran or woman-owned business. Brochures, drawings and specification data shall also be submitted for review. Respondents must also identify: applicable warranty, availability, lead-time/delivery and whether or not installation can be accomplished by the end-user. The applicable NAICS code is 541611 . The size standard, as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration, is $6 million. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. No solicitation exists; therefore, please do not request a copy of a solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of each interested party to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based upon responses hereto.
