Description
The Cibola National Forest would like to procure one High Resolution Soil Analyser with the following requirements: SYSTEM OVERVIEW: System must be single, self-contained unit, weighing no more than 2 lbs. including battery. Exterior dimensions must not exceed 11.5" x 3.5" x 3.0. USER INTERFACE: Equipped touch-screen display sealed against moisture and dust. DISPLAY: Use multiple high-speed processors for data collection and analysis to display real-time results, include reference line list to positively confirm the presence/absence of elements in the periodic table from C1 to U, including elements that the system is not calibrated to analyze for quantitatively. AUTOMATED DATA ENTRY: Include an automated, integrated, barcode-based, data-entry system for test site and sample information. Accommodate user-defined inputs, including GPS coordinates, and be integrated with the system downloading and reporting software. EXCITATION SOURCE: Use a Cd (109) isotope source to efficiently excite Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, CU, Zn, As, Se, Rb, Sr, Zr, Mo, Hg, Pb, and Bi, be able to be an Am(241) isotope source to efficiently excite Ag, Cd, SN Sb, and Ba. Display final results generated from all sources. Must automatically compensate for source decay. Include test stand with capability for use with both bulk and thin samples. PC interface cable and software for results storage, data report generation, spectraview and easy peak identification. RADIATION SAFETY: When radiation safety shutter is open during reading it will not exceed .1mR/hour. Shutter must close and lock automatically in the event of loss of power. Must offer the option of activation of both a sample proimity sensor and a two-handed safety interlock to prevent accidental exposure. Measurement controlled by trigger compression only. BULK SAMPLE ANAYSIS: Simultaneously analyze for 20 elements, in prepared soil samples in 60 seconds. Must meet the instrument specification for EPA Method 6200.
