Description
SUPPLIES SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Hollings Marine Laboratory (HML) in Charleston, SC is acquiring a new fan coil unit (FCU) with Metasystem controls and provide the necessary Labor, materials equipment and contractor coordination to install a binary and analog input connection at each freezer location and upgrade CMI System to monitor 74 freezers located throughout the HML. Install medium pressure duct tying the existing ductwork to the FCU box. Install new supply ductwork to reach existing diffusers. Install insulated hot water and chilled water piping to the new FCU. Install necessary power wiring. The applicable NAICS code is 334511. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The only known source for these supplies is Johnson Controls, Inc., 3820 Faber Place Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405 due to the proprietary nature and existing warranties. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide this product. Such information shall include at a minimum: name; telephone number and point of contact; ability and authority to perform the work described herein without compromising any warranty on the equipment and the names and telephone numbers of firms to whom this product or similar products have been previously provided. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by submitting the information requested above referencing Request For Proposal NO. WC133C-05-RQ-1949. The Central Region Acquisition Division (CRAD), requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
