Description
Answers to questions: Typically, the air velocity inside a booth is 100 to 160 FPM. Based on some simple engineering calculations, the cross section of the booth is 24ft wide by 12ft high which equals a cross section area of 288 sq ft. The booth spec is rated at 24,000 CFM, however 24,000 CFM at 288 sq ft would only equal 83.3 FPM inside the booth. In order to achieve 400 FPM, you would need to take to 288 sq ft and multiply it by 400 which equals 115,200 cfm or 230,400 CFM for 800 FPM. My question is what FPM inside the booth are you looking for? ANSWER: Per Bio we have to have a minimum of 100 FPM inside the booth so we need whatever is req'd to make that happen. Do we need to provide electrical contracting services to connect the electrical control panel that will operate the booth to the existing 460V power or will electrical services be provided by others ANSWER: Yes we are going to need contracting services to connect the electrical control panel. Do we need to provide an air compressor for filter cleaning operation, or is compressed air available at the job site? If air line is available, how close to booth location? We will need 1" air line rated for 90-100 PSIG. ANSWER: There's already an airline in the area where the booth is going to go. Do we need to install fire sprinklers inside the booth? ANSWER: Yes we are going to need fire sprinklers in the booth. There is already a line in the room for them to tie into for the sprinklers though.
