- S--The Department of Navy intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) under Solicitation N62472-05-B-6035 for Refuse Collection, Disposal, and Recycling at the 1st Marine Corps District Garden City and Mitchel Field, New York. The work includes providing all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, utilities, and equipment necessary for refuse collection, disposal, and recycling. This is a combination Firm Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity Contract with one base year beginning on 1 Dec 2005 and a provision for four option periods not to exceed a total of 60 months. Award will be made to the lowest priced responsive and responsible bidder. This acquisition will be issued as UNRESTRICTED under NAICS Code 562111, Small business size standard is $10,500,000. The approximate solicitation release date is 23 September 2005. Prospective bidders must register for this project on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet web site, www.esol.navfac.navy.mil to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents. The Issue Date, Bid Opening Date, and Award date stated in this notice are approximate dates. An official Bidder's Mailing List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the Contractor's responsibility to check the above listed address daily for any posted changes to solicitation's plans and specifications. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the DOD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised, for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to register in CCR may render a bidder ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the web site www.ccr.gov or by referring to DFAR Subpart 204-73. Offerors should submit verification of their firm's registration in the CCR Database with their bid.
