Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service intend to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Brinkman Instruments, Inc., Westbury, NY to purchase Brinkman/Eppendorf Liquid Handling System, EPMotion 5075 LH 120V including accessories, on-site training, and one-year warranty. The equipment is to be delivered to USDA, FSIS, Western Laboratory, Alameda, CA. The Brinkman/Eppendorf Liquid Handling System meets our minimum specifications necessary to accomplish the required laboratory tasks. There are twelve (12) deck spaces the lab will be able to run two analyses at once. The Eppendorf model also comes equipped with a control module which takes place of a dedicated computer system. This will make it easier for us to place the liquid handler in a lab with limited bench space. The Eppendorf is the only model that comes with a liquid level sensor which, along with measuring solvent levels, can detect missing tips. This makes it possible to use tip racks that are only partially full. All responsible sources who can provide the above requirement shall submit written quotations within five (5) days from the published date of this announcement. No solicitation will be issued, therefore such requests for solicitations will be considered non responsive. All quotes shall include price(s); FOB Point; a POC (Name and Telephone Number); GSA Number if applicable; business size and payment terms.
