Description
The NATO Consultation, Command and Control Board (NC3B) is organizing an exhibition on the use of commercial wireless technology by the military. The exhibition will be held at NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium, on 29-30 November 2005. The NC3B plans to invite companies to exhibit their specific technologies, applications, or equipment with respect to wireless technologies that can be used in a military environment. As the subject of wireless technologies is extremely broad, the exhibition will be focused an commercial wireless technologies in Local Area Networks. Examples are IEEE 802 standards and related/supporting technologies both Hardware and Software. Of specific interest are the Security and Architectural aspects of these technologies. The exhibition will give the representatives of a select group of industry and research establishments the opportunity to speak with the senior C3 officers of NATO and Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council nations. Furthermore, as it will be held at NATO Headquarters, the exhibit will draw the attention of the senior military and diplomatic officials located in Brussels. Due to space limitations at NATO Headquarters, the NC3B must be highly selective in determining participants in the exhibition. It will strive for a mix of technologies to be shown - giving priority to those that are highly interactive in nature. It will be looking for both large and small companies to be represented, from as many of nations as possible. ELIGIBILITY Requests for participation sent directly to NATO cannot be considered. If your firm would like to participate in this exhibition, you must first complete a Questionnaire that will be provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce. To receive a copy of the NC3B Questionnaire, send an email to Lcarpent@bis.doc.gov or dnewsom@bis.doc.gov. A completed Questionnaire must be submitted to the NATO Exhibition Team no later than October 7, 2005. Instructions for submission will be included with the Questionnaire.
