- The Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons will conduct a one-day industry forum in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, starting at 9:30 a.m. CST, at a location yet to be determined. Interested parties are invited. This is a combined Request for Information (RFI) and Industry Forum Announcement for comprehensive medical services. The following information is provided for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to a specific acquisition approach. This RFI is requesting information and feedback from industry on the planned acquisition approaches to providing healthcare needs for inmates incarcerated in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The Federal Bureau of Prisons plans to prepare for questions in advance therefore questions must be submitted to rwoodward@bop.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on September 29, 2005. Also, parties interested in attending must register by submitting the name of the corporation/organization, number of attendees, name of each attendee, phone number and e-mail address of each attendee to Robin Woodward, Contract Specialist, via e-mail at rwoodward@bop.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. CST on September 29, 2005. NOTE: The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs associated with this Industry Forum or submitting a response to this notice or the RFI. Participation in the Industry Forum is voluntary and the information presented will not obligate the Government in any manner. Any procurement action for the Federal Bureau of Prisons comprehensive medical services will be the subject of a separate, future announcement.
