Description

The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Coastal Electronics, Inc. Required items are 100 steel-foot monopole, 300 feet of 6-way direct buried cable, six (6) 400 foot runs 1 5/8 coaxial cable and labot to install this equipment and four (4) government provided antenna and all associated hardware. Items to be purchased are: CLIN 0001: QTY (1 LS) 100 STEEL-FOOT MONOPOLE COMPLETE WITH FOUNDATION AND INSTALLATION, 90 MPH (110 MPH IBC-3 SECOND GUSTS) WITH ? INCH RADIAL ICE, TO SUPPORT EIGHT (8) ANTENNA WITH ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE, MODEL # 100MONO8, MANUFACTURER: COASTAL ELECTRONICS; CLIN 0002: QTY (1 LS) PROVIDE AND INSTALL 300 FEET OF 6-WAY DIRECT BURIED GRS CONDUIT BANK BETWEEN POLE AND BUILDING WITH 6 FEET OF COVER; CLIN 0003: QTY (1 LS) SIX (6) 400-FOOT RUNS 1 5/8 COAX WITH ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE, MODEL # VXL7-50, MANUFACTURER: ANDREW; CLIN 0004: QTY (1 LS) LABOR ONLY TO INSTALL FOUR (4) GOVERNMENT PROVIDED ANTENNA AND ALL ASSOCIATED HARDWARE ON MONOPOLE USING VXL7-50. The Statement of Objective is follows: a. DESCRIPTION OF ACTION: Seymour Johnson AFB intends to purchase an antenna pole and associated support structures to include antenna pole foundation designed by North Carolina certified engineer, conduit, cabling, gounding, installation of government furnished antennas, and soil sampling. b. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Deliver proposal and cost estimate for procurement and Installation a 100? monopole with expansion capability to eight antennas. In addition, request proposal for installation of four government furnished antennas, procurement and installation of cabling (LDF-7) (approximately 300? including pole interior and building interior service cable) and connectors for eight antennas, six-4? runs of conduit from pole to building (approximately 200?), soil sampling and antenna pole foundation engineered by a North Carolina certified engineer, and necessary grounding. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 14 Sep 05 at 4:00 P.M.
