Description

The contractor shall engineer, furnish, install and test a system to provide analog and digital communication connectivity from building 5321, Fort Dix, NJ to building 1901, McGuire Air Force Base, NJ. The system should be capable of connecting indiv idual analog/digital lines from the switch in building 5321, multiplexing them onto an OC3 or better circuit and transporting them over fiber to a building eight (8) miles away, transforming them back to their original analog/digital capability, without lo sing its original intended usage abilities. The circuit and multiplexing abilities must be capable of accepting analog lines and digital lines transporting them over a single Fiber link and de-multiplexing on the opposite end. Additional information: The fiber is single mode with ST connectors. The resultant award shall be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The NAICS code, SIC code and size standard for this procurement are, 517110, 48131, 500 employees. Pursuant to 13.500, this procurement shall be made using the Commercial Item Test Program. Pursua nt to FAR 19.502, this procurement is set aside for competition restricted to small business concerns. Other firms are deemed ineligible to participate in the acquisition. Only one award shall be made. Eligible small business firms shall request a solic itation package in writing. Requests may be mailed to Army Reserve Contracting Center, Directorate of Contracting, 5418 South Scott Plaza, Fort Dix, New Jersey, 08640-5097; faxed to Claudia Adams 609-562-6933 or emailed to claudia.adams@dix.army.mil by c lose of business Tuesday 13 September 2005. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened. All requests should include the solicitation number,W911S1-05-T-0057, your companys name and address, a point of contact , telephone number, facsimile number, email address if available, Taxpayer Identification Number, Cage Code and DUNS number. A site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 September 2005 at 10:00am, 5418 South Scott Plaza, Room 365 (third floor). Those atte nding the site visit shall forward a list of personnel, along with their approximate time of arrival, gate they will utilize, and vehicle information to Claudia Adams by fax at 609 562 6933 or claudia.adams@dix.army.mil. This information is required by 3: 00pm Tuesday 13 September 2005 Those firms interested in participating in the acquisition are encouraged to attend.
