Description

5/31/05--EXTENDED UNTIL 6/6/05. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items/services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and following the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR part 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-003. Solicitation number 6TSA-05-TSL-002 is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Firms submitting a proposal must be registered in GSA IT Solutions prior to the closing date for receipt of proposals. This requirement is for the installation and removal of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Subscriber assets at Ramstein Air Base (AB) Germany and the Kaiserslautern Military Community. Ramstein AB Germany requires the installation of approximately 83 consollete type base stations and 394 mobile radios in vehicles. The project includes the installation of antenna cabling, antennas and other associated equipment (e.g., remotes, electrical wiring and junction boxes). These radios are government furnished and support implementation of a (APCO) Project 25, Trunking LMR system at Ramstein AB Germany. Additionally, Ramstein requires the removal of legacy radio equipment consisting of Base Stations, Mobiles, associated Remote Heads and any and all cabling (i.e. antenna/power). The vendor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials (not listed in the Government Furnished Equipment [GFE] inventory), transportation, ancillary items, supervision and other items and services necessary to perform installations, removals, etc. on government owned Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment. Work shall be accomplished in accordance with (IAW) R56 Motorola Standards and Guidelines for Communication Sites, Radio Frequency Energy Exposure Safety Standards and Original Equipment Manufacturer's [OEM] specifications to ensure warranties are not voided. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: This requirement is a Performance Based Service Contract for the U.S. Air Force Europe (USAFE), Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
