- SERVICES SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) in Ann Arbor, MT is acquiring research to process sea lamprey statoliths for trace-element analysis; larval sea lamprey statoliths using laicpms to develop stream-specific elemental signatures; determine the origin (natal stream) of all adult lamprey collected; analyze and summarize the data produce and provide data in a form meaningful to completion of the project?s objectives. The period of performance is from October 1, 2005 through September 31, 2006. The applicable NAICS code is 541710. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The only known source for this service is Dr. Brian Fryer at the University of Windsor/Great Lakes Institute for Environment, 303 Chrysler Hall Tower, Windsor, ON, Canada M9B 3P4. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide this product. Such information shall include at a minimum: name; telephone number and point of contact; ability and authority to perform the work described herein without compromising any warranty on the equipment and the names and telephone numbers of firms to whom this product or similar products have been previously provided.
