- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation notice of intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are not being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI 5124 and the solicitation is being issued as a notice of intent. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-05. The technology for these tetramers was developed at Stanford University and Beckman-Coulter is the only known source licensed to market their development. This is a continuation of a previous effort as part of NIH/NIAD Project No. Z01 AI 0000585-08 (Pathogenic Mechanisms in HIV-1 Infection.) Changing variables would prevent the correct interpretation of current experiments in progress and thus cause harm to the mission of the Institute. This is not a Small-Business Set Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 325188 and the small-business size standard is 1000 employees. This is a firm fixed-price contract, and the FOB terms are destination to Bethesda, MD. The anticipated period of performance will be 9/26/05?7/1/06.
