Description

Notice of Set-Aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns. The proposed contract is to be 100% set aside for award to service-disabled veteran owned small businesses (SDVOSB). Offers from other than a SDVOSB will not be considered and shall be rejected. Service-Disabled veteran means a veteran, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(2), with a disability that is service connected, as defined in 38 U.S.C. 101(16). This is for a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.3. The required services cover total Cemetery Facilities Maintenance consisting of maintenance of grounds, regular mowing, weed eating, removal of leaves and debris, as well as, sweeping or blowing off roads and sidewalks, maintenance of gravesites and headstones, and the alignment and washing of headstones, headstone installation and maintenance, turf maintenance, plant and tree maintenance, sunken grave repair, grave excavation and backfilling, trash removal, snow and ice removal, placement and removal of flags, and janitorial services. A proposed fixed price contract is intended with a base year period with up to four (4) one-year option periods. The solicitation will be issued with a NAICS code of 561730 ( Landscape care and maintenance services, lawn maintenance services and cemetery plot care services) with a size standard of $6,000,000.00. The solicitation will be available for downloading on or about September 12, 2005. All requests for printed copies of the solicitation must be submitted in writing to the contracting officer (point of contact). No telephone requests will be accepted.
