Description

NOTICE TO OFFERORS: FUNDS ARE NOT PRESENTLY AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. NO AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER THE SOLICITATION UNTIL FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE. THE GOVERNMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL. Patriot Manufacturing flashlight mount for the M-4, or equal. Offset flashlight ring for attachment to Picatinny rail to accommodate Pelican M-6 flashlight, or other similar 1" body diameter flashlight. The flashlight shall be positioned for easy activation by the hand while gripping the vertical fore grip attached to the bottom Picatinny rail of the typical rail equipped (RAS equipped) M4 carbine. Ring should have no sharp corners to prevent snagging on clothing and vegetation. Clamping screws that secure light in the ring should be redundant (at least 2) and not visible from the exterior of the ring. Placement of the clamping screws shall be located on the bottom of the ring assembly on the surface in contact with the Picatinny rail when mounted to further assist in preventing dirt and debris from fouling the heads of the screws. Thumbscrew used to attach the ring and light assembly to the Picatinny rail shall be mechanically retained to prevent loss when the clamp is disengaged and shall be knurled and slotted to facilitate rapid and secure attachment. Finish shall be a satin/low/no-shine and all aluminum parts should be anodized and all steel parts parkerized. Rings should be individually packaged in 6 mil poly bags and heat-sealed with instructions included inside bag.
