Shall accommodate any aircraft main or nose wheel with the use of quick-change wheel adapters for each different wheel with floating sockets that are configured to match the bolt pattern and size for the particular wheel. Wheel handling capacity shall be up to 60 in diameter and up to 800 lbs. Operation shall be by pushbuttons mounted remote pendant that allows operator to take desired position around equipment while controlling wheel clamp, lifting and tilting operations. Wheel clamping shall draw the inboard and outboard wheel halves into the tire using a hydraulic cylinder positioned vertically in the center of the unit. Shall contain pressure-limited hydraulics, preset safety reliefs, built-in flow controls and bearing adapter fitted to the inboard wheel bearing cup in order to protect the wheel assembly, bearing hubs and bearing race surfaces from damage during the assembly process. Shall include a lift cylinder or equivalent to adjust the height of the wheel adapter so that when it is oriented horizontally its center exactly matches the centerline of the wheel being assembled or disassembled. Shall include a tilt cylinder or equivalent used to traverse from vertical to horizontal the orientation of the wheel adapter. Item 0002, Quantity 1: Wheel Assembly Torquining System. Shall be capable of providing torque capacity for no less than 100 aircraft wheel configurations, to include pre-torque, final torque and torque angle values for each wheel. System shall be capable of being calibrated by hardware or software. Operator?s interface to be located directly above the nut runners. Entire assembly shall be suspended from an air balanced cable on a post-mounted overhead swing boom. Nut runners shall be programmable for torque control, angle control or a combination of both. Shall have touch screen monitor and an integral PC. Complete assembly shall consist of torquing system with dual nut runners suspended on air balanced cable from a swinging gantry boom, a wheel-lifting fixture, a torquing spindle angle-check calibration adapter and torque calibration standard with NIST traceable calibration.
