Description

This will be a firm-fixed price requirements-type contract. Period of performance is projected to be 26 September 2005 through 30 April 05. Contractor shall provide all material, equipment and instructor support services to provide four training cl asses, approximately six weeks per class, for 10-20 students per class in Emergency Medical Technician  Intermediate (EMT-I) instruction. The first class shall begin on 26 September 2005 with subsequent courses starting in November 2005, January 2006 and March 2006. These courses will include didactic instruction, clinical education, and EMT-I practical rotations. Classroom instruction will be held on Schofield Barracks, HI, and civilian ambulance shift work will be held at any other location on the Isl and of Oahu, HI. The detailed course instruction may be modified to meet the specific training needs of the student class as long as all course requirements are met by the end of the six-week training period. Classes will be held from Monday  Friday, 9: 00 a.m.  12:00 p.m., and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. for didactic and clinical practical exercises. The issue date for this solicitation is estimated to be on or about 15 September 2005. Response date above is estimated. Actual proposal due date will be spec ified in the solicitation and may be earlier or later than 20 September 2005. This proposed contract is being considered as a 100% set-aside for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Institutions (MIs), as defined by the clause at 252.226-7000 of the Defense Federal Acquisition Supplement. Interested HBCUs and MIs should provide the contracting office as early as possible, but not later than 5 days after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the contract, and a p ositive statement of their eligibility as an HBCU or MI.
