Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition procedures in FAR 13 and the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This annou ncement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. W911SA-05-T-0085 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and is due by COB 15 September 2005. The RFQ is a fixed price contract for d elivery 15 December 2005. This solicitation is unrestricted with NAICS code 336120. This requirement is to furnish the following: The Fort McCoy Directorate of Protection,Training and Mobilization Services fire station has need for a contractor to furnis h: a truck tractor with the following salient features (all features are brand name or equal): 35,000 to 40,000 GVWR (must meet range); wheel base of 214CA, 147.9 147.9CA axle to frame; motor Caterpillar (C-13) 335HP, must maintain 35-45MPH uphill & maint ain 65-70MPH top end; brakes ABS with dust shields; engine compression, Caterpillar 229-2618 C-13; front axle 16,000 lb capacity; rear axle 23,000 lb capacity driver control locking differential; Allison Automatic 4000 RDS P Closed Ratio 6-speed with a P TO Provision Less Retarder; wheels, steel w/aluminum covers 22.5 10-stud rims; tires 385/65R225 front & 11R225 rear; air compressor 15.7 CFM; alternator minimum 145-amp capacity; bucket seats driver air ride passenger fixed seat; std accessories of A/C, st d DOT lighting package to include rear cab illumining the rear deck area, AM/FM radio, std gauges, heated mirrors, tilt wheel, fog lamps (white), rear deck lights, two-way radio hookup, power windows left & right sides; air/electric connections mounted on rear deck frame- pintle hook area (for connection to trailers); color of fire engine RED; 12-volt battery disconnect in side cab floor; truck air braking inside cab to truck & trailer systems; a customer-mounted box will be mounted on top of the bed; city stake body flatbed-, stake sides-40-in heights with metal 16-ft dump w/ ability to fit gooseneck trailer 2-5/16 ball to drop deck-44-in back from the rear beck & provide a trap door for a recessed gooseneck ball hitch to haul trailer; rear hitch plate w/2- inch by 2-inch receiver and tow hook-20 ton; 16 ton hoist scissor hoist; tool box on rear deck to be 4-ft tall by 3-ft wide made of diamond plate material mounted driver side behind cab under the bed; steel floor smooth plate, must be weather tight; 50-60 gallon fuel tank. PARTIES INTERESTED IN RESPONDING TO RFQ may submit their quote in accordance with standard commercial practice (i.e. quote form, letterhead, etc.) and MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Solicitation numb er; offerors complete mailing and remittance addresses; discount terms, DUNS number and Tax Identification Number. Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with requ ired registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Specifically, 52.212-3 Alt I shall be completed electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov by the solicitation due date to be eligible to receive an award for this solicitation. In accord ance with FAR 52.212-1(k), prospective awardee shall be registered and active in the CCR database prior to award. If the Offeror does not become registered in the CCR database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer (NLT due date/time of solicit ation), the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror.
