Description

The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis with Ventana Medical Systems Inc. to procure bulk reagents, antibodies, and staining kits needed to conduct pathology testing at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia. Ventana holds the patent for the dispensing units used to delivery these supplies and is the only source that can meet this need. This requirement shall be procured in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The delivery date for the resultant contract will be 01 Dec 2005 through 30 Sep 2006 with provisions for four (4) one (1) year option periods. The FSC Code is 6545. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http:www2.eps.gov as this office no longer issues hard copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor or the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended of debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may be grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. NOTE 22 APPLIES.
