Description

This project is for the construction of the Sabine District Office access road and parking lot to include all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies to complete excavation, lime subgrade stabilization, placing crushed aggregate surfacing, prime coating aggregate base, double asphalt surface treatment and pavement markings as per drawings and specifications. Dependent upon the availability of funds, an alternative will be added with work to consist of the addition of a 3-inch course of TxDot Type C Hot Mix to the parking area as per drawings and specifications. The project location is at the Sabine Ranger District Office, Sabine National Forest, Sabine County, Texas, on Highway 21, 5 miles east of Milam, Texas. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The governments estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contractor is to complete the project within 210 calendar days. A 20% bid bond guarantee is required with bid submission, and the successful offeror will be required to furnish a 100% payment and performance bond upon award. The solicitation package will be ready for download on or about July 7, 2005. No hard copies of the solicitation package will be mailed out, and telephone requests are discouraged.
