Description
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source procurement to Chesapeake Systems of 3000 Chestnut Avenue, Suite 117, Baltimore, MD 21211. The purpose of this acquisition is to supply and install additional video production hardware to an existing Pro Video network previously purchased from Chesapeake Systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541519, and the size standard is NTE 150 employees. Due to its involvement in the initial configuration of the network and its peripheral devices, Chesapeake Systems is uniquely qualified to provide these services, as their service engineers are the only engineers knowledgeable of the network?s configurations. In accordance with FAR 6.301 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements,? CBP has determined Chesapeake Systems to be the only firm capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Notwithstanding, any interested firm that believes it is capable of meeting the requirement stated herein may submit written qualifications, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Interested firms shall provide detailed information outlining their capabilities ? any response failing to provide the aforementioned data will be disregarded. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
