This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Part: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SUPPLIES/EQUIPMENT CLASS CODE: 60 Fiber Optics Materials and Components, Assemblies and Access OFFADD: DA, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, New York 13602-5220 SUBJECT: 33 Quote solicitation for Fiber Optics Cable & reel assembly SOL: W911S2-05-T-0129 DUE: 9/16/2005 POC: Contracting Officer, John Stinson or Maj Muhammad 315-772-5441. DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W911S2-05-T-0129 is issued as a Request for Quotes. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 3357, North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) is 335921, and the business size standard is 1000 employees. Furnish and deliver the following: Line item 0001 Description: 2000 ft ruggedized, optical cable, single mo de, mil-spec. Meeting MIL STD1678 via Methods 2040, 2030 and 2010. Cable is Military Specification constructed with PU (polyurethane) compounds for outer sheathing, proprietary electrometric sub-cable jacketing, heavy-duty electrometric fiber jacketing c ompounds reinforced with interwoven high denier/high density Kevlar. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LIGHT DUTY TFOCA CABLE. THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL GRADE CABLE. Each 2000 foot assembly must have three-pair of optical cable. The outer sheathing must be black. Link is terminated utilizing high-grade COTS fiber optic termini (ST/SC). Protection of termini from physical damage and water ingress is provided by proprietary AFOINC design assembly utilizing an arimid yarn reinforced sealing boot with integrated 6061 a luminum and stainless steel components. Cable carrier is fully self-contained (no loose or secondary parts) and constructed of cold rolled steel with carry handle and integrated retrieval mechanism. Finish is military qualified sand drab baked enamel #9 77G30277. Line item 0002 - Description: 250 feet, ruggedized, optical cable, single mode, mil-spec. Meeting MIL STD1678 via Methods 2040, 2030 and 2010. Cable is Military Specification constructed with PU (polyurethane) compounds for outer sheathing, ele ctrometric sub-cable jacketing, heavy-duty electrometric fiber jacketing compounds reinforced with interwoven high denier/high density Kevlar. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A LIGHT DUTY TFOCA CABLE. THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL GRADE CABLE. Each 250 foot assembly must ha ve two-pair of optical cable. The outer sheathing for six of the cables must be red, and the outer sheathing on the other six must be blue. Optical cable is terminated utilizing high-grade COTS fiber optic termini (LC on both ends). Protection of termini from physical damage and water ingress is provided by AFOINC design assembly utilizing an arimid yarn reinforced sealing boot with integrated 6061 aluminum and stainless steel components. The connectors must be colored blue or red to match the color of th e outer sheathing. Cable must be carried on a fully self-contained spool (no loose or secondary parts), constructed of cold rolled steel with carry handle and integrated retrieval mechanism. Finish is military qualified sand drab baked enamel #977G30277. Request FOB destination & earliest delivery date. Please provide all technical drawings to include pictures & diagrams of fiber optic cables & reel assembly as part of quote. The following clauses and provi sions are applicable to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (returned with your offer); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5, C ontract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders; 252.212.7001- Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (June 2003).
