Description
Amendment 0001 is hereby being issued to the subject solicitation. The purpose of this amendment is to answer technical questions and to make one correction to the CLIN structure. 1. QUESTION 1: If the offeror proposes multiple sources as described in Specifications paragraph 4.c., must the required minimum source level per 4.a. be met only within the three bands (380 to 420 Hz, 900 to 1100 Hz, and 2000 to 5000 kHz), or must it be met across the entire 200 to 5000 Hz frequency range? ANSWER TO QUESTION 1: The minimim source level (188 decibels re 1 micropascal at 1 meter) must be met throughout the frequency interval from 200 Hz to 5000 Hz. QUESTION 2: In the last sentences of 4.d. and 4.e., is the band of operation of each of the multiple sources the same as the frequency band above, or is it the frequency band over which each source operates in order to meet the required minimum source level over the entire 200 to 5000 Hz frequency range? ANSWER TO QUESTION 2: The requirements of 4.d. and 4.e. must be met at all frequencies from 200 Hz to 5000 Hz. Paragraph 4.c. addresses cross-over frequencies. If multiple sources are used, the government does not want a cross-over frequency occurring in any of the three bands listed (380-420 Hz, 900-1100 Hz, 2000-5000 Hz). It should not be construed that the government is interested only in these bands; in fact, the government is interested in all freuencies from 200 to 5000 Hz. 2. CLIN 0002 is hereby deleted in its entirety and marked as RESERVED.
