Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service intend to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules, CA to purchase two (2) CHEF Mapper XA Chiller Systems, 120v, Catalog No. 1703670 to include the following: 1) Gel Doc XR PC, Catalog No. 1708170 (Qty 2); Extended Warranty, Catalog No. 1703670WM, 3) Extended Warranty for GEL DOC XR System, PC, Catalog No. 1708170WM; 4) Extended Warranty GEL DOC XR System, PC, Catalog No. 1708170WS. The equipment is to be delivered to USDA, FSIS, Eastern Laboratory, Athens, GA. This instrument uses Pulse Field Gel Electrophoresis (PFGE) to compare isolates of bacteria to each other through the CDC-Pulsenet. CDC has established methods and criteria using this equipment for analysis of threat agents. This equipment is needed to compare threat agent PFGE patterns and to be compatible and compliant with the CDC-Pulsenet Protocols. All responsible sources who can provide the above requirement shall submit written quotations within five (5) days from the published date of this announcement. No solicitation will be issued, therefore such requests for solicitations will be considered non responsive. All quotes shall include price(s); FOB Point; a POC (Name and Telephone Number); GSA Number if applicable; business size and payment terms.
