Description

The Government intends to issue a one-month sole source purchase order (1-31 Oct 05) for Civil Engineering, Information Management, and Transportation Services (CEITS) at Buckley AFB, CO in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The potential award will go to TekStar, LLC, 5540 Tech Center Dr., Suite 200, Colorado Springs, CO 80919. TekStar, who is the contractor on the current contract (set to expire 30 Sep 05), is uniquely positioned to provide continuing services for this short time period. Furthermore, due to the breadth and complexity of the tasks required under this contract, the projected time for a potential contractor to phase-in (given security requirements, mobilization, etc.), and the short timeline to award, the government has determined that this situation justifies sole source consideration. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(iii)(B). Only one responsible source is known and award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency?s requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
