Description

(i)This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is a sole source to Activmedia Robotics L LC, 19 Columbia Dr., Amherst, NH, 03031-2305. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-05-T-0227. This acquisition is issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Fe deral Acquisition Circular 2005-05. (iv) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities: CLIN 0001 Pan-tilt color Digi Stereocam, 2 Each; CLIN 0002 Onboard 1.6 GHz COBRA computer, 2 Each; CLIN 0003 LINUS Software install, 2 Each; CLIN 0004 Voice/Speech Hardware & Software, 2 Each; CLIN 0005 Pioneer 3 DX Robot, 1 Each; CLIN 0006 Laser Mapping & Navigation DX, 1 Each; CLIN 0007 PTZ NTSC TRACK/SURV/VISN DX/AT, 1 Each; CLIN 0008 High speed wireless ether, 1 Each; CLIN 0009 High Capacity charger 5X 110V, 1 Each, CLIN 0010 7 AMP/HR Gel Cell Battery, 2 Each; CLIN 0011 Touch Screen AutoDock PeopleBot 1 Each.(v) Delivery is required by 10/18/05. Delivery shall be made to US Army Research Laboratory, Bldg. 459, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, MD. Acceptance shall be performed at ARL/Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, 21005-5506. The FOB point is FOB Destination. (vi) The provision at 52.21 2-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition.
