- Description
- NAICS Code: 561410 The purpose of amendment 3 to RFQ-DC-05-00400 is to provide answers to additional questions. 1. Is there a style manual or where can the IPCC national communication guidelines be found? The IPCC national communication guidelines for what is to be included in the document can be found on pages 80-101 of the document at the following website: http://maindb.unfcc.int/library/?screen=list&language=en&TRC1=ON&FLD1=dC&VAL1=FCCC/cp/1999/7&OPR1=contains&mode=wim 2. How many rounds of edits to the Word draft will be required? Because the schedule is somewhat in flux right not it is difficult to predict. EPA planned on agency staff who are authoring chapters and working on the document doing some of the early edits. Therefore, the vendor would most likely be expected to do one or two edits to clean up any problems missed by agency staff. 3. How many rounds of edits to the laid-out document will be required? At most two, possible only one, in that agency staff will also be involved in this. 4. How many graphs, charts, maps, and other graphics will need to be produced? Many will be produced by agency chapter leads. Our estimate is that about fifty (50) graphics would be needed. It is difficult to tell exactly at this point since we are still in the first draft stage. 5. Will EPA provide all of the photographs? If not, will EPA want the contractor to purchase professional digital photos? EPA and other agencies will acquire photos. There is only a remote chance that the vendor would be requested to purchase any photos. 6. Task 2 requires output in both Word and PDF. However, looking at the Climate Action Report - 2002, it was originally produced using QuarkXpress and then output to a PDF. Will the vendor be able to use high-end software to produce a high-quality PDF as long as the report is also delivered in Word? The vendor can use whatever graphics package they would like as long as they produce a final PDF file that can be submitted to the UN, can be loaded onto a website and printed. The input files used by the vendor would be in Word format and should be edited (prior to final production) using Word.
