Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Yuma Area Office, Yuma Desalting Plant, Yuma, Arizona 85364 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Control System International, 8040 Nieman Rd, Shawnee Mission, KS 66214 for Maintenance Service Agreement for support service on the Government Owned UCOS System for a base year with four option years. The Service Agreement includes engineering support, service calls, software upgrades, onsite service, and training. Competition is restricted to only one source due to the fact that CSI is the original developer of the UCOS System and has no other sources or providers authorized to work on CSI equipment. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by September 26, 2005. This procurement will be awarded in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13, using simplified acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is October 1, 2005. Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR database may make an offeror ineligible for award. The CCR Handbook and information on the registration process can be obtained via the CCR website, http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
