Description
Amendment 001 is issued to make corrections in the requirements of the solicitation on pages 6 and 9, deleting any reference to the term ?collar.? The required boat is an inflatable hull and the term ?collar? is typically used in conjunction with ?rigid inflatable boats? which is not desired in this case. In addition, clarification was provided on page 6 with regard to CBP?s requirement for ?isolated? chambers or compartments, such that if one or more become deflated due to puncture, cuts, etc., the remaining chambers or compartments remain inflated, providing floatation for the boat. See amended replacement pages 6 and 9 to be inserted in the solicitation. Interested firms are encouraged to download the amendment for complete details. The offer quotation due date and time has been extended until Monday, September 26, 2005, 2:00pm, Dallas, TX local time. * * * In addition, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is contemplating adding new requirements to this solicitation calling for the acquisition and delivery of items similar to existing CLINs 00010, 00020, and 00030 but for performance of the associated training in Podgorica, Montenegro, as follows: New CLIN 00040 Boat and engine, same as CLIN 00010, 4 or more; New CLIN 00050 Training same as CLIN 00020, 1 each; New CLIN 00060 Spare engine, same as CLIN 00030, 1 or more; Once CBP confirms these requirements, an amendment to the solicitation will be issued (www.fbo.gov) listing the total requirements for each destination. This amendment will be issued on or about September 22, 2005, to confirm the final requirements. Interested firms should already be developing quotations for CLINs 00010, 00020, and 00030 as they remain in effect. In the interim, interested firms should also develop pricing and delivery information for providing items in response to proposed CLINs 00040 through 00060, if these new requirements are confirmed. As in the case of CLINs 00010 and 00030 above, all equipment items including CLINs 00040 and 00060 if required, will delivered to a Virginia, USA location. As a reminder, offers and quotations in response to this solicitation are to be submitted to: Art Cooper US Customs & Border Protection Contracting & Procurement 7701 N.
