- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a requirement for Drydock Repairs to the NOAA Ship Albatross IV to be performed at the contractor?s facility. Performance period to commence on or about December 13, 2005 and shall be completed on or before January 20, 2006, (36 calendar days). Basic contract items are Drydocking and routine drydock work, temporary services, underwater body preservation, underwater hull zinc anodes renewal, sea valve overhaul and test, CP propeller and tailshaft inspection, HVAC Duct Cleaning, steel repairs, Optional Items: Potable water tank cleaning, hydrostatic pressure test, anchor chain inspection and preservation, eductor piping replacement and scanmar hydrophone installation. NOAA Ship Albatross IV?s homeport is Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543. The ship will be available for inspection on October 14, 2005 in Northeast Marine Support Facility, 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543. Appointments and arrangements for the inspection may be made by contacting the COTR at 508-495-2347. Drawings, pictures and detailed specifications will be provided as a part of the solicitation. Characteristics of the NOAA Ship Albatross IV: Length Overall ? 187 feet ; Beam (Molded) ? 33 feet; Propulsion ? Single screw, CPP, 2 CAT D379 diesels, Electrical System ? 2 CAT SSDG?s 215 KW 480VAC, 3 Phase, Crew size - 23. This is a 100% small business set-aside and the requirement will be issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). All responsible small business sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. To be eligible for award, all offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and complete the online Certifications and Representations at http://orca.bpn.gov/publicsearch. Contractors must have registered at Dun and Bradstreet and have a valid DUNS number. Copies of the solicitation will only be available on line. All interested businesses shall download the solicitation after 9/30/05.
