- Description
- The US Department of Veterans Affairs Central Region Acquisition Standardization Alliance (CRASA) has a requirement for drug eluting and for bare metal coronary stents in multiple sizes and for the related Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) products used in coronary interventional procedures. All stents shall provide moderate radiopacity in order to optimize visualization of stent under fluoroscopy for accurate stent placement. Stents shall be of such design and construction as to offer optimum strength, enhanced flexibility, resiliency, and durability. The VISN-23 Contracting Office, located at the VA Medical Center Minneapolis, MN, will make contract award on behalf of the VA Central Region Acquisition Standardization Alliance aka CRASA and anticipates entering into multiple contract awards for consignment agreements with the contractors providing the best overall value to the Government. The VA will award firm fixed price contract(s). Contracts will be awarded for one year with four options to renew for total contract period not to exceed five years. The awarded contracts will be made available to VA Medical Centers in the Central Region Acquisition Standardization Alliance (CRASA) which includes VA facilities in Veterans Integrated Service Networks (VISNs) 9, 10, 11, 12, 23 and 15, located in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. Evaluations may be conducted to determine that products offered will meet the Government?s requirements. Evaluation factors of technical capability of the items offered and past performance history (including case reports) will be considered along with price to determine ?best value? to the Government. Evaluation may be made with or without discussions with the offerors. Solicitation may be downloaded from this website. Bid documents will be available on or about September 15, 2005.
