Description
The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole soure basis with Radiological Imaging Technology, 637A Elkton Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80907-3513, for the RIT 113 Film Imaging and Analysis System to perform IMRT QA in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This system is the only one that has software that analyzes the images for comparison with computerized treatment plans. RIT 113 interfaces with every commercially available IMRT and can import images for analysis from film scanners, CR, EPID, and ion chamber arrays. The following are unique features of the RIT 113: Filmless support CR, Ion Chamber Arrays for QA, Plan-Based Calibration, Monitor Calibration with TG18 and SMPTE, Assure Test Film; PDD Table Editor; Portal Imager Support; User Preferences Manager; and patented Calibration Technique. VAPHS plans to purchase the following: RIT 113 Film Dosimetry Software, Adaptec SCSI Interface card with EZ-SCSI Software (Desktop), and Dosimetry Pro Advantage X-ray Film Scanner. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contracting Officer no later than September 20, 2005 C.O.B. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
