Description
CSC Applied Technologies LLC (CSC) contemplates issue of a combined synopsis and solicitation for an UNFUNDED Request For Proposal (URFP) to Construct Boundary Fence South 6 Acre Tract at Vance AFB, OK as solicitation number URFP089P. Funds are not currently available for this solicitation and have not been promised or guaranteed. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government or CSC should funding not be provided. In the absence of funding no contract will result. CSC reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date in the absence of funding. Offerors will be required to provide for an acceptance period which extends through 31 December 2005. Offers may be privately opened after the closing date to determine apparent low offeror. Result of offers will not be publicly announced unless award of contract should result. Offerors bid bonds will be held for the entire acceptance period should funds not be readily forthcoming. It is recommended that offerors consider this impact on their bonding capacity if an offer is anticipated. Work under this contract shall include furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct a security fence complete, in strict accordance with these plans and specifications. The principal features of this contract shall include, but not be limited to the following: New Fence: Provide and install approximately 1100 linear feet chain link fence. The fence to be 6 foot high chain link with a top rail and a bottom tension wire, the fence to have 3 strands of 4 point barbed wire with extension arms (out riggers) on the top of the fence, and a concrete mow strip under the fence. The fenced area shall have one area of frangibility at the end of the diagonal runway as noted on the drawings. The fence will start and end as shown on the drawings. The new fence will run along the new county road as shown on the drawings. The new fence shall be constructed prior to the existing fence removal. Sprig all the area from the base perimeter road to the new fence. NAICS 238990, Small Business Set Aside, Small Business Size $12M. Magnitude $25K-$100K. Estimated Issue Date: 15 September 2005 Pre-Bid Meeting Date: To Be Determined based on interest from the public. The site may be viewed without gaining Base access. Bid Closing Date: 27 September 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Bldg 244 Dock 4. All interested persons wishing to view the site may do so without gaining Base access. The site is at the South side of Vance AFB where the county road has been rerouted and once paralleled the Base fence but has now been made into a curve. The area between the new county road curve and the existing fence is the area to be worked. If interest in this project warrants holding the non-mandatory but highly recommended, Pre-Bid Meeting anyone needing access to Vance AFB must provide the following information a minimum of five (5) days prior to the Pre-Bid Meeting or access to Vance AFB cannot be guaranteed. URFP080P package is expected to be available on or about 15 September 2005 at our Web page http://ifb.csc.com as a zip file. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available. Once solicitation zip file is posted for download, use an IBM compatible computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher to access the http://ifb.csc.com Web page. Your browser must be set to accept cookies and if you are running a pop-up blocker or fire wall programs you may need to configure them to accept traffic from our page to allow the download page to work properly. IBM compatible computers running Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed will need to add our site to the Trusted Sites of their Microsoft IE browsers and set the Privacy to Low to allow for our page to work properly. The solicitation file will be a zipped file which you must save to your computer and unzip before the files it contains will be usable.
