Description
The U.S. Army RDECOM presents a requirement for Technical Liaison (Ft. Knox Kentucky) support. The main objective is providing technical liaison support for the Project Management Office which is engaged in Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Soldier Enhancement Program, Limited production, Full- Scale production and Life Cycle Management efforts for weapons, fire control, and ammunition systems managed by PM Soldier Weapons. The labor categories are: Program Manager; Senior Technical Specialist, level IV, Senior Technical Specialist Level III, and Senior Technical Specialist Level II. Due to limited funding that is available, only the Senior Technical Specialist labor category (one man year or 2,000 hours) will be awarded under Task 1. Should additional funds become available, subsequent task orders will be issued. The performance of this effort shall require the contractor to interface with the Army and other Department of Defense agencies, including: PEO Soldier and its project and product managers; Department of the Army (DA) G-8 staff; US Army Infantry Center (USAIC); US Army Special Operations command; Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC); Army Test and Evaluation Command; Rock Island (RI); and other service organizations. A Non-Disclosure statement will be required to be signed by the offeror(s) receiving an award. The Government intends to award this contract on the basis of best value using Fulll and Open Competition. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be Firm Fixed Price Level of Effort contract with four (4) option years. Electronic release of a competitive Request for Proposal is planned on or about 5 Oct 2005. proposals shall be required within thirty (30) days from date of release of the RFP. No telephone requests will be honored. Numbered Note 25 applies to this announcement.
