Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Phoenix Area Office, intends to award a sole source acquisition to Mr. Marvin Murray for technical support and services for specific water resource management study efforts. Mr. Murray has extensive expertise in water resource planning for over 30 years and a unique working relationship with our study partners throughout that period of time. This contract is needed to maintain a continuity of work with our partners and retain his expertise with regards to existing studies. Mr. Murry is uniquely qualified to provide these services due to the fact that he has extensive experience in water resource management in the areas being investigated, has worked on these projects over the last several years. He has established the knowledge and relationships to successfully provide the necessary support; knows the entities, individuals, issues involved, and has established successful working relationships and interactions with Reclamaton staff. Mr. Murray has a unique background and understanding of the issues involved in the specific watersheds, the Verde and Salt Rivers, being studied. Mr. Murray has developed a level of trust that is critical to meeting study deadlines and producing projects that are trusted and accepted by the study participants. Award will be made on October 1, 2005.
