Statement of Work: SECTION 1 ? The AFRH is comprised of the Armed Forces Retirement Home ? Washington, DC (AFRH-W) and Armed Forces Retirement Home ? Gulfport, Mississippi (AFRH-G). Each site offers independent, Long-Term Care/Skilled Care, Assisted Living and Special Care (dementia) options for its residents. Each site is maintained as a separate establishment of the AFRH for administrative purposes. This contract applies only to AFRH-W. SECTION 2 ? RESPONSIBILITIES The Armed Forces Retirement Home has a requirement for moving services. As various buildings are closed and departments consolidated, a wide variety of on-site moving services are needed including, but not limited to, the following: office furniture, computer equipment, automation equipment, shelving, stored documents, recreation equipment, and a variety of goods typical of an established retirement home. In most cases, the materials will be relocated and positioned in new spaces with certain pieces being located to other on-site locations. The capability to disassemble and assemble modular furniture and shelving units is also required. All materials require adequate protection from beginning to end in order to avoid any damage to furniture and electrical components. The government estimates that it will require approximately 500 workdays (2 contractor employees x 2 workdays (8 hours each) = 4 workdays) with all necessary labor, packing supplies, and equipment provided by the contractor. Please note that the effort required under this contract is not constant and will fluctuate based on individual work orders. Standard industry practices are to be followed and typical moves have taken approximately one day. SECTION 3 ? OPERATING HOURS All work shall be done during normal AFRH operating hours, which are from 7:30 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. The COTR or designated representative shall be available during normal AFRH operating hours. SECTION 4 ? GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT NONE.
