Description

In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is publicly announcing the start of a Streamline Competition for Food Services. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Dr. Ed Sontag, Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Department of Health and Human Services. The Contracting Officer(CO)is Lisa Schneider. The projected end date of the Competition is January 27, 2006. The functions at NIH include but are not limited to ordering and receiving food deliveries, production and assembly of meals for in-patient and out-patient. Process room service orders, produce research diets for patients enrolled in protecol, provide clinical nutrition services and clinical nutrition research. These services are currently provided by 69 Federal Government employees. NIH will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparison on or about February 1, 2006. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME.
