Description

DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to solicit and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Aerolab, Inc. of Laurel MD. The FSC Code is 3416. The NAICS code is 333512 which has a Small Business Administration size standard of 500 employees. IT IS THE GOVERNMENTS INTENT TO AWARD AS A SOLE SOURCE, The items to be procured are as follows: A 208 V APC UPS w/ 15 min run time. Remote management & monitoring of the UPS and system notification. Environmental monitoring and notification, 3 Year warranty. Power distribution strip. Installation of a 208V electrical line and installation of the UPS. An APCC engineer inspection and startup are needed. SBC is uniquely qualified for this job since rthey hae been doing the design and installation for all network electronic at the site. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 21 Sep 2005. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 20 Sep 2005. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, AFFTC/PKTA (Deanna Wright), 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Building 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Fax: 661-275-7859. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 5 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile and electronic mail responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
