Description

Operational Contracting, United States Air Force Academy, Colorado, intends to award a sole source purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Phillips Medical Systems CMS, 3000 Minuteman Road, Andover, MA 01810. This acquisition is for a service/maintenance contract for two each Phillips brand ultrasound medical equipment, model number 5000, located at the United States Air Force Academy Hospital, 10th Medical Group. This acquisition is for a one-year base period plus three optional one-year periods. The proposed Phillips service plan is identified by Phillips Medical Systems as the ?First Response Service Agreement? and includes: (1) all required parts to include transducers and priority access to the entire Phillips Medical Systems parts inventory, (2) all labor and travel expenses during standard hours of coverage, (3) software enhancements to proprietary operating system software. (4) unlimited technical service telephone support. (5) Biomedical Engineer training for one Government employee at a Phillips designated training center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. If a response is not received by 21 September 2005 at 1200 hours, Mountain Time Zone, to the effect that comparable service is available that would be more advantageous to the Government, than obtaining the service through sole source procurement to Phillips Medical Systems, a sole source award will be accomplished to Phillips Medical Systems. A formal solicitation will not be issued prior to contract award.
