Description
The U.S. Army ARDEC is contemplating awarding a sole source effort to Northrop Grumman Electronics Systems to conduct a study using the Full Spectrum Active Protection counter-munition (currently under development with Northrop Grumman ) for use to protect combat vehicles, to defeat lightly armored and heavily armored targets. This study shall entailed conducting feasibilty analysis of applying the integrated counter-munition sensor, propulsion, and warhead technologies and related technologies to defeat armored targets. Specific and unique ideas utilizing both proprietary data and technology which has been Patented by Northrop Grumman: (1) Patent US 6,279,478 Infrared Skewed- Cone Fuze and (2) 5,669,581 Spin-Stabilized Guided Projectile for use in the Full Spectrum Active Protection System (FSAP), and other applications (high value assets) will be needed to conduct the study. The period of performance for this study shall be four months.
