Wolfe Ave., Edwards AFB, CA 93524 SUBJECT: Microwave Pyramidal Flame-Retardant Foam Absorbers REF NO.: FA9302-05-P-E155 DUE: 20 SEPTEMBER 2005 POC: Mary Uptergrove, 661-275-7819 (fax) DESC: The 412 Test Wing/PKD, Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to provide, install, and test 1,680 EACH 72” and 36 EACH 24” Microwave Pyramidal Flame-Retardant Foam Absorbers. This acquisition is unrestricted. The NAICS code is 334515. The following item will be procured: This acquisition is for providing, installing, and testing 1,680 EACH 72” and 36 EACH 24” Microwave Pyramidal Flame-Retardant Foam Absorbers to match existing system. This system is designed to the exact form, fit, and function to support the Low Frequency Research at Benefield Anechoic Chamber at Edwards AFB CA. It is paramount that this system will satisfy our requirements and operate on software proprietary to ETS-Lindgren. ETS-Lindgren is the original developer of our existing RAM test system. ETS-Lindgren is the only known source that can satisfy the Government’s requirement of upgrade, on-site preparation, training, and technical support. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government's requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 21 September 2005. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 2:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 20 September 2005. Responses should be submitted to: Directorate of Contracting, 412 TW/PKD (Attn: Mary Uptergrove), 5 South Wolfe Avenue, Building 2800, Edwards AFB, CA 93524-1185, Fax: (661) 275-7819). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 8 days of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Facsimile responses are acceptable and must be received on or before the closing date. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
